BROUGHTON CONTROLS, continues to bring to market, innovative products with the launch of the worlds only 6m crash-tested, rising arm barrier, the Defender 940.
Broughton Controls’ dedicated High Security Division in Oldham has added the ground-breaking crash-tested barrier to its award-winning Defender range of physical security products. Impact Testing saw the 6 metre span barrier successfully stopping a 7.5tonne vehicle, fully laden, travelling at 80kph in accordance with PAS 68, confirming Broughton Controls’ position as the market leader in this field.
“This important addition of a 6m crash-tested barrier to our product range, gives greater flexibility to our clients who are seeking an access control solution for areas requiring greater turning circles for vehicles, or where a barrier is required to span two carriageways.” Explains Jeff Howells, Business Development Manager for Broughton Controls High Security Division, “The Defender 940 barrier is just another example of our client driven approach – a product the market has been demanding.”
It is this client driven approach that has seen Broughton Controls favour a programme of development and testing of innovative physical security products, over trying to match existing products to clients needs.
